I had decided to make another sprite of my self insert trainer, but in a non Fakemon scenario, and try a weird idea I had to make a team following certain patterns Ash is using in the Journeys anime.

So self insert me does have a Snag Machine, which I think is fair since, imo, he probably went to Orre since I've played Colosseum and XD. I think it probably doesn't work right now, though.

Basically my thought process for the "Journeys" team was as follows

1. Starter

2. 2 additional members from the region you are from

3. 1 Uber

4. 1 user of Mega Evolution, Z moves, and Gigantimax each, or capable otherwise.

5. A regional variant

6. Repeating types

7. If all else is fulfilled, rando

Which is where this weirdly matched team comes from, since I'm usually more careful not to overlap types or weaknesses. These are all based on Pokemon I've used in the past as well

As for the Typhlosion, she's my starter, I want a special mon to call my own, that's what that is. It's a form change rather than a Gmax, Mega Evolution, or a change like Ultra Necrozma from Z moves.

The rest I've used throughout my games. Of Course my Gmax Corviknight is my Sword ace, but I also had a Mega Gyrados in Lets Go Eevee, a Scizor in my latest Soul Silver playthrough, a Tyranitar in a White 2 Randomizer (and also a Soul Silver playthrough I think), and my Alolan Raichu from Sun.

In this scenario, I'm from Johto since my first game was Silver and my starter was Typhlosion, so that's where Scizor and Tyranitar also come in. I reckon I've done enough traveling around to get the other three as well.

I guess I'd be participating in the champion tournament if it were an actual thing, but I refuse to believe Galarian gym leaders are that much stronger than the rest lol, and I definitely refuse to believe Leon is the strongest, so I think I'd be doing pretty damn well. I'd at least be smart enough to send in a flying type or psychic user against the FIGHTING TYPE trainer. I'd probably oversleep and miss a tournament match or something though tbh.

As for the card design itself, idk I felt like experimenting with sort of a card chip design. I reckon in practice you'd need it to progress in the tournament and stuff.

Some of the sprite edits I've done! Some of are my favorites of these favorites are Gallade (which is a palette inversion - as in, I invert the colors of the sprite and recolor based on that), Primarina, Mew, Porygon, and the six at the bottom (which are Neopets colors - Speckled, Shadow, Fire, Camouflage, Striped, and Biscuit). The Neopets ones in particular are very fun, but I'll pretty much do any color job.
